Celebrate 710 in Style This Year
Author: CULTURE Magazine  10/07/2017 - 21:41:00

April 20, or 420, may be the cannabis community’s biggest official holiday, but 710 is a niche holiday made for concentrate connoisseurs and medical patients across the globe. Today is July 10, which means there’s no better day to celebrate the glistening, golden wax, oil, shatter or other forms of concentrate that you love indulging in. Here are six ways you can educate yourself and celebrate your favorite types of concentrates this 710.

For those who are new to concentrates, (or cannabis in general—we’re looking at you Nevadans!) we’ve created an information breakdown of all of the types of concentrates that currently exist. From the shatter, kief and hash, there are so many unique ways to consume cannabis in its golden form. And don’t worry, if you’re new to the concentrate game, we’ve got you covered there too.

On the subject of consumption, each state has its own very specific laws about where to consume concentrates, if it’s legal to do so. While some states are well-known for their leniency, others approach the topic with a heavier hand. Today, and all other days, always be familiar with your state’s current laws about possession and where to consume!

The cannabis industry is one of the most promising and lucrative businesses in the country, rising quicker and higher than any other industries imaginable. That being said, CULTURE took a look at investigating what it takes to becoming a concentrate processor. While you can accomplish this on a small scale at home, there are many skills involved in the trade. From a background in chemistry or horticulture to a dedication to the craft, it’s a one-of-a-kind career that is rewarding for anyone interested in breaking into the industry.

710 is the community’s holiday, but we should never forget that cannabis concentrates have amazing properties that have helped countless children and adults overcome their various medical conditions. This month, we covered the struggle of young Maddie Holt who, through the use of cannabis, now experiences less seizures in her everyday life. Although her mother wasn’t familiar with cannabis’ medicinal properties in the beginning, now more than ever she advocates for cannabis in every way she can.

Cannabis is its own niche industry, but no other community offers an art form quite like this one. Dab artists have been making unique little pieces of art made from shatter and wax, some simple made in the shape of a hummingbird and others more elaborate, such as a Millennium Falcon replica. Take time to appreciate how concentrates can be molded and melted into unique pieces of art.

Unlike cannabis flower, there is more required to enjoy concentrates properly and safely. From the heavy-duty Phoenician Concentration Station to the The DABARATUS and Muad-Dib Concentrate Box, there are many unique tools that make consuming concentrates even more enjoyable.
